Description
Chanderi is a luxurious breezy fabric. Silk, cotton and zari are woven together on the warp and weft in various combinations to create different textures – the resultant fabric looks luscious and feels exceptionally comfortable.
Bandhani, an ancient tie-dye technique, dates back to 4,000 BCE. Bandhani is a highly skilled process and involves tying portions of the fabric with thread before dying, to produce intricate patterns. Ajrakh textiles display special designs and patterns made using block printing with stamps. We have implemented these time-honed arts on Chanderi silk to create lightweight and stunning sarees. It is no surprise that this dynamic fabric was favoured by royalty and continues to be a hot favourite, especially for the festive season.
