She was a bundle of nerves when her name was called out – it was her cue to head to the front of the classroom and recite the poem she had written. It reminded her that like the crayons in her crayon pouch, it took all kinds of people and skills to make the world the stunning, vibrant place it was. And that was a lesson she would never forget.
